“In 2008 I closed 29 transactions with an average commission of $8,000. My gross commissions were $233,500.

“In 2009 I closed 28 transactions, gross commissions of $216,000.

“As of mid-March 2010 I’ve closed five transactions and I anticipate helping 30 clients this year. My gross commissions are down because of pricing, but I expect $200,000.”

Mandy isn’t talking about what her business was doing when the market was hot – she’s talking about this year and the past two years in our “down” market.
