…. “If anything or anyone does not bring you alive, they are too small for you!”

Here is what I have noticed over the last 25 years of coaching and guiding others.
After you read it tell me if it RESONATES with you — thank you!

Today what could you start doing to surround yourself intentionally with people who share the core values you aspire towards?

If one of the fastest ways to evolve is create a support group of people who are all moving in a congruent direction then what could you do today?

Have you ever considered running as fast and as far as you can from the people and situations who want you to compromise or lower your frequency?

Only you know – is that a possible starting point for you?

Is it possible that the price for greatness is often seclusion – because in seclusion, you connect with the deepest part of your soul and this is where you determine what you stand for. I have noticed when I'm clear where I stand then and only then can I go out into the world and find the people (or person) to stand with.

I love what David Whyte says in his poem Sweet Darkness…

….."if anything or anyone does not bring you alive, they are too small for you!"

Sweet Darkness
When your eyes are tired the world is tired also.
When your vision has gone no part of the world can find you.
Time to go into the dark where the night has eyes to recognize its own.
There you can be sure you are not beyond love.
The dark will be your womb tonight.
The night will give you a horizon further than you can see.
You must learn one thing: the world was made to be free in.
Give up all the other worlds except the one to which you belong.
Sometimes it takes darkness and the sweet confinement of your aloneness to learn
Anything or anyone that does not bring you alive
is too small for you.
~ David Whyte

How To Convert Your Prospects With A Nine-Word Email And How To Archive Your Sage Advice

You Grow Your Business When You Show Them Don’t Tell Them

A Thought About Being On Time

Feeling valuable is the cornerstone of self-discipline because when you consider yourself to be valuable, you take care of yourself; you honor yourself.

When I create rituals that install disciplines, I’m saying to myself, "Joe, I love you" because when I believe I'm valuable then I treat my time like it has value.

Procrastination, and being late for appointments, is a byproduct of not thinking you’re a valuable person.

Because I see myself as valuable I'm always on time.

Time Management

This time technique might give you some peace of mind if it's the only thing you do today…

  1. Take two pages from your journal.
  2. On page one write down these words: The only thing I have to do today is……
  3. On the second page make a list of everything you have to do today.
  4. Pick one thing from your list on page 2 and bring it over to page one and re-write it under the heading – The only thing I have to do today is….
  5. Then go do the one thing you'd written down as The only thing I have to do today.
  6. When you’ve done the only thing you have to do today cross it off both lists and then bring another thing over from page two to page one under the title The only thing I have to do today.

I love this technique of managing my mind because it only lets one thing on the stage at a time and we now know that is what gets things done.

How To Earn The T-R-U-S-T Of People Who Refer You

Here are five ways you can earn and speed up the process of trust with a person who gives you a referral:

T – Timely. Everyone knows another agent or lender. When you receive an introduction, act immediately.

R – Respect. Everyone wants to feel important. Let the referring client know how much you respect their introduction, even if the prospect chooses not to work with you.

U – Update your referring client regularly. Get permission from the new client to tell their friend that you will be updating them.

S – Starbucks. Send a gift card immediately after you receive a referral. Send the gift card before you contact the referral to reinforce the referring behavior.

T – Thank them after the transaction closes with a personal gift that is unique to them.

Choose To Stop Should-ing

Do you ever “should” yourself?

“I should have done it like that.”

“I should be more like you.”

“This is what I should do.”

What happens when you choose this Magic Word?

I choose instead of I should.

You get more personal power from saying “I choose to be on time” instead of “I shouldn’t be late.”

“I choose to price homes to sell” instead of “I shouldn’t overprice my listings.”

“I choose to focus on one project at a time.”

“I choose to work on my business three to five hours a week.”

“I choose to listen to inspiring, insightful information.”

I wonder, what kind of choices are you making today?

On Your Team,
Joe
