Imran Poladi, with Riggs and Associates in Stockton, California, recently shared his success story with us:

“Ugly Yellow Signs are my best strategy. I recently used 10 signs for 30 days and received 261 hits and 44 voice messages. I called all 44 back and decided to work with 16. I just wasn’t feeling the vibe with some and others didn’t respect my work hours. (I don’t work weekends.)

“I invited all 16 to my office over the course of a month and 13 showed up. After meeting them, I cut the list down again and decided to work with eight.

“One transaction closed and two are in escrow, closing within 60 days for a total of $21,450 in commissions. This campaign cost $90 – a $238-to-$1 return. Three clients are still actively looking for houses with me. Ugly Yellow Signs are well worth it!”

A Salsa-Riffic Celebration


What would Cinco de Mayo be like without a FUN-Tastik fiesta? By Referral Only staff arrived at the party and found a buffet-style table loaded with carne asada, ground beef, beans, rice, chips, flour tortillas, and toppings including tomatoes, lettuce, sour cream, and the best part – salsa.

Speaking of salsa, the FUN-Tastiks also held their Second Annual “Not New York City” Salsa Contest. Several participants prepared their unique homemade salsa and offered up a “salsa-riffic” sampling to the judges: their very own By Referral Only amigos.

The defending champion, Coach Eddie Serna, finished second this year behind first-place winner and new salsa king, Curriculum Manager Jeff Jones, who said in triumph, “It’s all personal taste, and I lucked into the taste of the day. A pinch of this, a pinch of that, and a heavy dose of good fortune…”
