Debbie’s Letters From The Heart = 22 Transactions and $81,000 Commissions
Debbie Geavaras, with Baird & Warner in Mt. Prospect, Illinois, talked about her Letter From The Heart at a recent Main Event:

Member since 2003“When I started my Letters From The Heart, I had a large sphere – about 400 people on my mailing list. My Coach encouraged me to cut that down. I was able to whittle it down to 276 and I’m still whittling. I’ve been sending 276 Letters From The Heart for about a year. From that I’ve had 22 transactions and $81,000 in commissions. With what I’ve spent on Letters From The Heart, it’s about a $26-to-$1 return. “The last two clients specifically said to me, ‘We’ve been getting your letters and when it was time to sell, we knew you’d be the person we’d go to.’
“I love my Coach, Teresa McGee. She allows me to give myself stars when I make progress. A few weeks back I called her and said, ‘Okay, I’ve done this and I’ve done this and I’ve done this many transactions. What should I do next?’ She said, ‘Don’t you know?’ And I said, ‘Work in my During Unit?’ And she said, ‘No, take Recovery Time.’ That was great!”

Coach Jeanne Models Referable Behavior
Recently By Referral Only Coach Jeanne Gurrera received a call from member Dan Hall, with Preview Properties in Marysville, Washington. Dan and his family were traveling to the San Diego area and he asked if he could stop by our office and say hello. Jeanne immediately went into the “fabulous first impressions” mode and provided Dan with detailed directions to our office. On the day of his visit, she created a “Welcome” sign for our lobby. When Dan walked in and our receptionist greeted him by name, he did, indeed, feel welcome!
You get only one chance to make a first impression – is yours fabulous? Detailed directions, a “Welcome” sign and a personal greeting are simple steps that contribute to a fabulous first impression, and make your client feel special even before you begin your Initial Consultation. Talk to your Coach about putting simple systems in place so you create a fabulous first impression every time – and establish yourself as a consultant for life vs. a salesperson for the transaction.

Is Your Address in Our Database Correct? We Need Your Help
From time to time we’re contacted by a member who isn’t receiving this Community Weekly On-line e-mail or their monthly Results in Action kit. When we check the address in our database, it sometimes turns out our database hasn’t been updated.
We need your help to be sure we have your most current address, telephone number and other information.
It’s easy to check your mailing address on-line. On the Community Resource Center page, when you see “Welcome” and your name in the upper right-hand corner of the screen, click on “Edit Profile,” just below your name. If you need to update your name, address or telephone number just contact Membership Services by e-mail at members@byreferralonly.com, or call Monday through Friday, 7am-4pm Pacific Time at 800-950-7325, ext. 4. Please note, we need your street address, rather than a Post Office box.

The Portland Main Event
The Portland Main Event takes place February 14-16 at the Hilton Portland & Executive Tower, located in the heart of downtown near great restaurants, shopping, the Portland Art Museum and Oregon Zoo. The hotel’s amenities include a 12,000-square-foot full-service athletic club, an indoor pool, and panoramic views of the Cascade Mountains and Portland skyline.
