Dave’s Amazing Results
Dave Devlin, with All California Mortgage, Inc. in Larkspur, California, recently shared his success story:
“Several years ago I attended another company’s real estate seminar. I didn’t join the program, but did sign up for their monthly flyer service, where you receive 100 slick, glossy flyers to mail out to clients each month. “I did the mailings for approximately 18 months, and never received one (and I do mean not one) positive comment, from any client, about how they liked or appreciated the flyers. In fact, several clients asked me to remove them from my mailing list.
“The results were different with By Referral Only. I mailed my first Letter From The Heart this past January, and have been consistent with the letter every month since. I’ve received so many positive comments about my Letter From The Heart, it’s amazed me. Clients e-mail, call, and actually write me notes about how interesting my letters are, and how much they appreciate them.”

A Jolly Celebration
The winter weather often brings with it the coldest days of the year. But the FUN-tastiks know how to warm them up – as long as you’re indoors.Keeping in line with the rest of the festively adorned By Referral Only office, the FUN-tastiks decorated a traditional holiday tree and invited staff members to bring ornaments from home to add their own special touches.
Whether the FUN-tastiks are making a list or checking it twice, they continue to model our core values: communication, teamwork, passion, integrity and especially fun.
Just A Reminder…
The U.S. Postal Service’s Board of Governors recently approved a two-cent rate increase for first-class postage. The increase will take effect on January 8, 2006. You still have time to “wow” people on your Top 150 list with this fun, easy and inexpensive touchpoint:
- Head for your local Post Office and purchase 200 two-cent stamps.
- Select 10 names from your Top 150 list and write a personal note to each. "Dear Frances, I waited in line so you wouldn't have to! Enclosed you'll find 20 two-cent stamps to help you through the January 8, 2006 U.S. postage increase."
- Include 20 stamps with each note and mail. Cost? The price of your notecard, plus about $8 at the Post Office ($4 for 200 two-cent stamps and your postage to mail the touchpoint).
- One week later, follow up your mailing with a phone call using the BOND formula. To review the BOND formula, click here, and get ready to plant referral seeds – and harvest them.
P.S. When the postage increase takes place, the postcard rate will also rise from 23 to 24 cents.
An Important TeleClass Update
There are no Strong Foundations TeleClasses on December 23 and 26 due to the holidays. The Strong Foundations TeleClasses resume on December 27. The January 9-11 Main Event takes place at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort and Spa in Indian Wells, California, approximately 30 minutes from Palm Springs.
