Success With APS
Deborah Kost, with DFW Real Estate Center in Arlington, Texas, joined the By Referral Only Community and immediately began using the Automatic Prospecting System (APS) to meet qualified clients.
"I started with 100 Ugly Yellow Signs and a hotline. I wrote, 'Lovely 3 and 4 Bedroom Homes, Zero Down Payment, Free Recorded Message.' I put them out on corners every Friday and picked them up on Monday. It was just like By Referral Only said – people called and left messages: 'How does your program work? Please call me back quickly. I want to buy a home.' One hundred Ugly Yellow Signs cost $186 and gave me a $27-to-$1 return. "Now at my office, everything runs through the APS hotline. I don't hear the phone ringing with the question, 'How much is that house?' Instead, people want to see it or have already visited the open house. People calling my office are serious – we don't waste time.
"In 2004 I grossed $90,000. For 2005 I'm on track to gross $250,000."
