What’s Ugly and Gets a $105-to-$1 Return?
Martin Harris, with Coldwell Banker Bain in Federal Way, Washington, uses Ugly Yellow Signs when he’s ready to turn up the "volume knob" in his business:
"The last time I used this strategy I put out 30 signs at a cost of about $75. The signs said, ‘Lovely home, zero down payment, free recorded message,’ and had the toll-free number. In two weeks I had a transaction that brought me a commission of $7,900 – better than a $105-to-$1 return. "It’s really that simple. I follow the strategy exactly the way Terry Hunefeld teaches it – I don’t change anything. Of the people who called through on my toll-free number, I chose three I’d like to work with and brought them in for interviews.
"Last year I liked every one of my clients. I had my best year in real estate, and I did it working less than 30 hours a week."

We call our April 2005 Employee Spotlight Of The Month "Sharon," but she’s also known as "Grace" – as in "Grace Under Pressure" – because Sharon is a model of grace as she handles her many and varied responsibilities.As Executive Assistant to both our founder, Joe Stumpf, and our CEO, Terry Hunefeld, Sharon’s day includes everything from juggling Joe and Terry’s busy schedules to talking with members and organizing on-site and off-site meetings. She arranges Joe’s Super Servant interviews and manages a thousand and one details, always with a positive attitude, great sense of humor, commitment to excellence, and high level of professionalism.
And she does it all with her mega-watt smile. Congratulations, Sharon!
The May-August Community Remodel Days
At the January-April 2005 Community Remodel Days we worked on becoming more focused, discovering your core belief about asking for referrals, and practicing and refining the dialogues that help increase your By Referral Only business.
At the May-August Community Remodel Days we’ll go even deeper with these ideas as we explore the tools that help you get focused and stay focused. You’ll learn and practice some new material, and more importantly, you’ll be ready to act on what you’ve learned before the day is over. We’ll also help you combat the core fears that prevent you from asking for referrals.
